The California All Safer at Work Initiative needed to effectively communicate the state's safety measures in place during the COVID-19 pandemic and after to a diverse audience of workers and employers. Traditional outreach methods might not resonate deeply enough to drive behavior change.
Incurrent Media was brought on board to direct and produce documentary style videos that captured the human stories behind the workplace safety protocols for California All’s Safer at Work. Incurrent Media focused on real-life experiences of California workers and businesses. Interviews, on-site footage, and real emotions helped drive home the importance of educating workers' on their workplace rights. Our team handled pre-production, filming, and post-production editing, sound, color, and graphics. Interviews were conducted in 6 languages, including indigenous, and versions were created in various lengths with language versioning in order to effectively reach the diverse workforce population.
By focusing on real stories with an emotional connection, the videos effectively communicated the importance of community based organizations in supporting and educating workers' about their workplace rights, while also highlighting California’s valuable workforce.
The videos raised awareness of California's All Safer at Work Initiative and the hundreds of community based organizations that support the cause. The human stories fostered a sense of trust and connection with the initiative, encouraging greater empowerment and compliance with safety guidelines.
